calender

I am using project to manage trade shows. Currently the calender shows 6 on
the screen with a arrow for more, if there are more. Is there a way to see
all the shows (up to 15 on a day) at one time on the screen without the arrow
for more?

Is there a way to print all the shows on the calender? Currently I only get
the 1st 6 shows on a day?

Thank You,

Sorry, if this easy. I am a new user to project.

Hi,

No. Calendar is simply a view that should be used with a filter to limit the
number of tasks. The Gantt Chart is the main View for use with Project.

I recommend a schedule for each show of there are a lot of tasks. If all you
want to do is record when the shows are use Outlook.

Thank You.

I am also trying to schedule resources (emplyoees for each show). I really
need a calander view for all the shows in a given month. Is there a different
program that would better suit my needs?

We have looked at outlook, but it just wasn't a good fit for our needs.

If you use the Calendar view and change the number of days you are viewing
per page (print setup>view), you can see more tasks per day.

However, it will reach an eventual limit and overflow to the next page as
text because it cannot go smaller than 1 week. Try displaying just a week at
a time in print preview.

Hi jmb2,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

If you move your mouse to the horizontal divider line between weeks, when
you get an up/down arrow, drag down to increase the space available which
can then show more rows.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hello,

Good to know I'm not the only one with this type of issue. In my case, on my
screen I can see all the tasks I need in the calendar view (appx 6 per day),
but printing yields only 1 or 2 per day, with the rest on the Overflow Tasks
page. There is clearly penty of white space; how do I get all the tasks I can
see to print on the calendar?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Mike,
No, most of the tasks are on the overflow page in Print Preview as well (and
then it prints as shown in Print Preview).

In playing some more, I learned that if I make the page Portrait, all of my
tasks will print on the calendar, OR if I do:
Page Setup > View > Week height as on screen
.... then the weeks are tall enough to fit all tasks, although only 3 weeks
will fit per page (in Landscape, at least).
