Can columns scroll to the next page instead of the next column?

Hi,
I need to separate the info of each page of my document into two
separate pieces of information. I have set up my pages into two
columns - now how can I get the info I enter in column "a" to flow to
the next sheet instead of over into column "b" of the same page (or is
this even possible)?

Certainly a table is what is needed, but beware of very long single-row
tables (or even very long tables, period), as documents can become unstable
as tables get longer. Usually there will be logical points at which either
the table can be broken or a new row started; this makes Word much happier
and better behaved.

A table is how I originally set it up, but I wanted to know if it coul
be done with columns. I hate tables, they can be so tempermental
especially with large documents. Columns could be made much better i
I could do what I wanted with them.
