If you have Norton Internet Security automatically checking your incoming
and outgoing mail, turn it off.

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]
Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
After furious head scratching, William asked:

|| Assuming you are using Outlook as your email client and it is Outlook
|| you are asking questions about ... no way to do it automatically
|| that I know of. When you delete the mail, you can 'hide' it by
|| selecting the the view "hide messages marked for deletion". To
|| actually delete the files from the IMAP server mailbox file, in
|| outlook you do menu: edit/purge deleted messages.
