Can I change my mouse pointer from an arrow?

I have Microsoft Professional XP. I was told that, in Microsoft Outlook, I
can change the mouse pointer into something more interesting, such as a
cigarette, but I am unable to work out how to do it.

I was also told that the 'got new mail' can be made into Homer Simpson...how
do I do that?

What exactly do you mean by "Microsoft Professional XP"?

Select' / Browse to see the options available.

This is an 'Office' newsgroup, not XP general stuff.. to get what you want,
you will need to do a search in your search engine of preference for XP
themes.. no doubt you will find a cigarette there..

My personal opinion is that, while most of the themes have some novelty
value, they are sometimes difficult and confusing to work with.. your choice
of course..

Reminds me of the time that I set up a managers laptop with a . wav file
from the game Prairie Dog Hunt..

Instead of the pleasing Windows start theme, it said "Here doggie doggie"..
amazingly, I wasn't fired for that..
