can I copy Office 2003 from one computer to another?

I got a new barebones computer w/a new HD to boot to and installed Win XP on
it. I also installed my old HD from old system to the new computer. My old HD
has Office 2003 on it. When I try to run Word, I get a message saying that my
system is not configured to run this application. What gives and what do I
need to do to get Word, etc., to run. I do not have the original discs, just
an upgrade disk.
Thanks.

You can't just copy most applications, as the installation routine writes
entries into the registry. You need to install Office.
