Can I create a file with the product code to install Office XP?

B

Bruce

I have a system that I have been having to reinstall and reinstall....
Getting OLD! (working with the manufacture to resolve this but....)

I remember in the past that I was able to create a "script" file that
contained the product code. Can this still be done? How? I would like to all
do a COMPLETE install, not express.

Can this be done with Front Page 2k?
What would be the best order to load? FrontPage and then Office? Or vice
versa? and when should I do UPDATE from MS? between installs, or after both?

Help!!!!

Bruce

Depending on your version of Office, you can use tools from the Office
Resource kit to create your installation files from a server or second hard
drive.

Hi Bruce,

I think you can use "setup.exe /a" to create a Office Admin pack for later
installation. I guess the script file you mentioned is the MST file which
can be used to deploy Office to domain users.

Hope it helps.

Sincerely,
