Can I format rows with specified spacing before and after each row

I need to format a spreadsheet using the indent option so there will be fixed
spacing before and after each row in the spreadsheet. I have not seen a
method for doing this. I want to do something like users can do in Microsoft
Word where you specifiy the spacing in point before and after each paragraph.
Can this be done?

I don't think there is a simple way to do this in Excel. One way is to set
the height of the row to "x" times its normal height and then centre the
data vertically. In this way you can adjust the gap between the data.

Hi Doug,
I don't know if you are trying to indent within a cell or
the actual rows in a column, but you definitely can't do that in Excel.
That would be word processing. In fact you can't even
do that in HTML be interesting to see what Microsoft
does get that effect in HTML when converting documents.
(some may recognize this as .IN (indent) or the opposite
as .OF (offset))

xxxx xxxxx xxxx x
xx xxx xxx xxx
xxx xx xxxxx xxx
