I bought a copy of Office proffesional and install it on my PC. I have since
purchased a laptop and was wondering if i could install office on there even
though it was registered through my PC. I have been told by a collegue it
will not work on both computers due to the licence agreement - can anyone
help?

Office 2003 Professional is available in both retail and preinstalled
(OEM) versions. If you have a retail version, then you can install it
on both your desktop and laptop. If you have a preinstalled (OEM)
version, then you can only install it on the computer that the software
came with, and you will have to purchase another copy of Office to
install on the laptop. You can read the End User License Agreement that
applies to your copy of Office 2003 or earlier by starting Word, then
clicking on Help | Microsoft Word Help | Contents tab | click on the +
next to "Microsoft Word Help" to expand the topic, and select "End User
License Agreement" from the list of topics. In the EULA, there will be
a section entitled "General License Grant to Install and Use" that says
how many computers (and what types of computers) you can install your
copy of Office on.
