Can I load office 2000 premium on a laptop running windows xp?

I have my office 2000 premium on my old desktop which has windows me. I just
purchased a new laptop running windows xp. Can I load my office 2000 on my
laptop since they are different operating systems?

So, due to licensing I need to uninstall off of my old desktop, but the
operating systems are compatible, correct?

Check your EULA. You may be able to have it on both systems as long as you
aren't using both at the same time.

Duh. I misread it. I have the retail 2000 which I installed 5yrs ago and since added the SR1 Update sometimes way back. I did not figure on the Update of SR1.
