can i only actavate office xp on 1 computer

Hi, I bought office XP a few years ago and actavated it on my computer and
then it was in an accident,so i then I bought a new computer and tryed to
load and actavate Xp on the net.
question. can i only actavate office XP on 1 computer only ever.
if so I feel ripped off it cos me alot of money to only br able to use it
once.

And if it was OEM, then the licence lives and dies with the first system it's
installed on.
