can i use ms projects 2000 with office 2003 on an xp machine?

I have MS projects 2000 which was in use when we used office xp, but now we
have office 2003. I have a need to use this project management software, so
do I have to buy the office 2003 version or can I use the 2000. The
operating system is xp.
