can I use the rt mouse button for quicker formatting?

I have been using Word to help me organize and edit a daily digest I get from online. I review the digest, then copy sections I want and move them to folders I have set up . Then I paste and go back and do different border formats for the subject lines to help me spot the specific info I am looking for quickly. I have been going up to the menu under the "format drop down" menu, picking" borders ", and then picking same border(I have been using 2 different ones) , and applying them to the subject lines. So that I don't have to keep going up to the menu and the drop down list , is there any way I can get formating on the right mouse button funtions and have them there when I use that paste funtion to paste from digest to Word folders?

Hi Winter

Yes, you can put new items on right-click menus (also called "shortcut
menus" or "context menus"). The article at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm
explains how to do it -- pay special attention to step 2c.

You can add the Borders and Shading item, or you can record two macros while
you apply the two types of border (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/UsingRecorder.htm) and put those macros
on the right-click menu so you don't have to fiddle around in the Borders
dialog.

I do find the Borders button/palette on the Formatting toolbar very helpful.
