Why don't you just modify your local web and publish it to the remote
server?

You can open the web site in FrontPage (via HTTP) and work on it dcirectly,
as long as you have the lgin credentials of an Author for that web site.

Kevin,
I created an empty web and transfered files from the
remote server to my machine. however it did not transfer
everything on the server only the frames(What i mean by
that is we have slideshows on the website but it only
transfer the folder(images/slideshows) not the individual
slideshow folders image/slideshows/slideshow1, slideshow2
etc.). If i modify the page that i need to modify and post
it back on the server will it wipe out everything on
remote server. Or will it only apply the changes that i
made and insert the pictures that i put to my local root
directory. If what i say doesnt make any sense i will try
to rephrase it.
Thanks again

then imported the files through HTTP, typed the address
then waited FP to transfer the files. Whas this wrong? If
yes could you please guide me to correct way of doing
this? Thanks in advance.

Just create a folder (not a web) on your hard drive where you want the
web, then open the web on the remote server in FP, and then PUBLISH it
back to the folder on your hard drive.

The import function only imports what is seen by a browser, so shared
borders, include files, navigation structure, themes, asp pages, databases,
etc. are not imported. You would need to publish from your remote site to
your local machine.

I created a folder called c:/temp/foldername then
transfered files through HTTP, then i made the changes and
prepared two more slideshows, then i open the remote site
with FTP and only overwrote the index.asp and put the new
folders and pages to remote server. Now it works great.
This must have been what you all trying to tell i guess.
thank you for your patience, I appreciate it.
