Can not Insert MPP Files as a Note

Hi ,

I tried to insert an MPP files as a note for a task. But it is showing
an error. Any one of you has the same problem??

Help me to resolve this issue..

Hi Sobin,
You can insert a hyperlink to the respective file.
Can i know the purpose of you inserting .mpp file as notes so that we can
think of some other workaround for you

Hi Manmeet,

I would like to provide a template for my proj managers to refer in
certain cases. Also in some other special scenarios too.

I can insert word/excel etc documents. But not an MPP file. Why is it
so.? Are you able to insert MPP file as a note??

No even i am not able to insert .mpp files.
However if you want templates to be available to the Project Manger then
save the file as template itself.
file-save as
in the save as type select .mpt. (this is the default extension for templates)

To access the templates
goto file- new-on my computer-General.

The templates will be available there.

I think this is the only way for me to allow templates.

May be that is a bug for microsoft project.
