Can not open setup file to install a genuine downloaded Office 200

Steve

I purchased Office 2007Ultimate through a Microsoft website called
'itsnotcheating.com.au' in April 2007. Because it was through this website i
had to download the setup file of the program. When i installed it the first
time everything worked fine, but i now want to install this program onto a
second computer. When i click on the setup file (that i have put onto the
second computer) the program says 'extracting file' which it runs through
perfectly and then finishes, but then nothing happens after that. No error
message comes up or anything. It just doesn't do anything beyond 'extracting
files' has finished.

I have contacted Microsoft to make sure that i can install it on a second
computer and they said that is fine.

I am not sure what to do. Please help!

The computer is running Windows XP Premium

You'll have to contact the seller and request a new
copy of the file you originally acquired.

That's a MSFT website? Their corporate identity has slipped a bit.
Is the file you down-loaded a compressed file, e.g. run it to decompress
it then run setup from the decompressed files?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but i can do have an option to compress the
file, so i guess that would make it a decompressed file right? Sorry mate
that's the best i've got.

Also, yesterday i have to uninstall and reinstall Office 07 on the original
computer and it all worked fine, which leads me to believe that the setup
file is ok?

Cheers
Steve
