Can not save project

Ben

Hi,
When I try to save my project, I get the following message:

Project cannot save this project until all required fields have valid values.
You must specify values for all required project and task fields before
saving the project... Insert the fields as columns in the task sheet and edit
the values or specify these fields in the project or task information dialog
box.

Can you help?

Thanks

Ben,
Wow, that's a new one. My first thought is some kind of corruption
either in the file or with the Project application itself. Normally all
"required" fields in Project have a default setting and if an attempt is
made to enter a data type different than the data type appropriate for
that field, an input error message pops up.

I would try the following. First go to Help/Detect and Repair. If there
are any subtle problems with the Project application, that might fix
them. If that doesn't help, go to the MVP website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and take a look at FAQ 43 - File bloat? Could be corruption. It has some
suggestions on how to deal with a corrupt Project file.

Hope this helps.

This is normal behavior if Enterprise Global has been configured to require
data in some fields.

To see which fields are required, click Project > Project Information. The
table in the dialog box will display all custom project fields. Any that are
required will be marked with an astereisk and will appear at the top of the
list. Similar approach for tasks, but look in the Task Information Dialog
Box (Shift - F2).
