Can open new pages on SOME machines only

Here is one that I have never seen before:

We have recently published a brand new site on an existing server. The
server hosts three other sites and all are working properly.

We made a change to one of the frames on default1.htm (the main page of site
which is called from a flash screen). On machines that have NEVER opened
the site before, they get the correct page with the new frames. On machines
that HAVE opened the page before - they continue to get the old site. We
have ensured that the browser refreshes every time a new site is opened but
this does not help. We have dumped all the caches on the local machines and
this does not work either. All the machines (including the server) are
patched to the latest patch levels. All the paths are correct.

Anyone have an idea??

Thanks

Why did you leave the old web pages up? If all you say is correct, that can
be about the only thing left.

I assume these are internal servers? What type & level. I have a Netware
4.11 that persists in pulling up my antique Netscape to view our intranet
pages. Very annoying.

What type of browser are you using. I find my older Netscape 4.77 is easier
on the eyes but will not load newer pages, mine or internet. I would clear
all the caches and history files, if you haven't all ready. If you can
temporally drop the site you don't want to see and try the machines to see
if maybe they will 'learn' the correct site. In 35 years with computers it
never amazes me how some just will no do what they are told.

Nothing was said about leaving the old pages up!! They do not exsist as they
were replaced!

Sounds to me like your ISP has a proxy server that is caching the old site.
Should resolve itself in a few days.

I have even deleted the website and republished it - no help. To test
it further - I removed one of the main sections to see if I would
gete a 404 error - still loaded the old one without error.

Did you try CTRL+F5 to force your proxy to pull a new version of the
site?

Yes, CTL-F5 was tried - - have that problem alot with another account.

The problem resolved itself as one of the other replies mentioned - - -
times fixes all that is wronged by Microsoft. It was a DNS issue.

Thanks to all that replied.
