We support 75 licensed users of MS Project. Some of them want to upgrade to
Project 2003 but this may pose issues because we are using ODBC database
connections to keep Poject data in Oracle. My understanding is that when
Project 2003 first stores a project in a database, it automatically upgrades
the DB to the new schema and makes it read-only for Project 2000 users.
It's been suggested that we let the people who want to run 2003 install it
on their machines and still use 2000 for the ODBC projects they have to
maintain. But I think maybe you can't install two versions of Project on the
same box.
How can I find out whether this is a viable option without buying Project
2003 and then finding out we can't use it anyway?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
