MS Project 2000 exporting earned value to excel

mr. t

Hello, at my company we have some users using MS Project 2000 (standard) and
2003 (Standard and Pro - although we are not using Server). I am needing to
know if MS Project 2000 or MS Project 2003 standard has the same lovely
button "Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel" feature as my MS Project 2003 Pro
version does.

Also, is there a website or a list of the new features for Project 2003 -
both standard and Pro?

Please advise.

Project Standard and Project Professional only differ in one way -- Project
Pro will talk to Project Server. Other than that, the funcitionality (such
as Analyze Time Phased Data in Excel) will be the same.

I no longer have P2000 available to me, I do not recall if the Analysis
Toolbar was available back then (Analyze Time Phased Data in Excel is on that
toolbar). It is certainly easy enough to find out... on any P2000 install,
look for View/Toolbars/Analysis. Or, you can search for ANLYZTS.DLL which
would be in (default) directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OfficeXX\ where XX is your version of
Office

A feature comparison matrix is available here:

Mr. t,
I do have Project 2000 and yes it does have the export utility. If for
some reason you cannot find it or it doesn't work, go to our MVP website
at, http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and take a look at FAQ 46 -
Analysis Toolbar (Project 2000+).

Hope this helps.
