Can the deadline be set to match the date of another task?

It seems that I should be able to set the deadline to match the date of a
milestone, such that if the milestone changes, so does the deadline. This
would be very useful for groups that are interdependent. If their milestone
gets pushed out, so does my deadline...

Jan - thanks very much for the response. By deadline, I meant the 'Deadline:'
field in the 'Advanced' tab of a task. I want to edit this field specifically
because I want project to flag this task if it is missing the deadline.
When I right click on this field, there is no 'Paste Special' option - just
cut, copy and paste.
Any thoughts?

There is only one deadline field. How you access it is irrelevant.
Insert the column "Deadline" to see deadline cells you can paste in.

FYI -a milestone is NOT a certain date. The milestone is the event itself
that occurs on that date - ie, if the design must be approved by Dec 01, the
milestone is the approval of the design, not the date of Dec 01. You use
the deadline in the milestone entry to set its required date just like you
do in any other task.
