Can you assign a task to a list?

People in our group all log in to Outlook as individual users. But we
are all members of a mailing list called "swsupport". If I assign a
task to "swsupport" I can't accept it, because I am not "swsupport". Is
there a way I could assign a task to "swsupport" so that any member of
the group could accept the task?

This is Outlook 2003.

No, a task must be defined to only one individual.

Thanks Sue. I'll look for another approach.

Make the Task within the SWsupport mailbox, then users can assign it to
themselves and you can track who's working on what.
