Can you insert footnotes in Publisher?

Publisher does not support footnotes.. presumably because text is frame
based.. others here can probably explain better.. just my 2¢ worth..

If you create a document in Word, you can place it in Publisher. Be aware
that the entire document, including footnotes must fit in one text box on one
page.
