Depends on the license you have for your Office. In you have a recent
version, open any Office application and go to Help, About for a link to
your EULA {End User License Agreement} for information on the limits of your
license.

Retail Office 2003 versions can be installed as follows:

conditions of this EULA:
1.1 Installation and use. You may:
(a) install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or
other device; and
(b) install an additional copy of the Software on a second, portable
device for the exclusive use of the primary
user of the first copy of the Software.

So you can install on one PC and on a second, portable device for your
exclusive use.

Students and teachers versions allows 3 installations.
