Can you use infopath to create a custom configuration form?

I was looking into infopath as a possible way to create a custom computer
configuration form so that my customers can select hardware components from a
drop down box. Depending on what they select I was hoping it could calculate
the price, etc. Does anyone know if this is possible with infopath and how
complicated it is? I was thinking of using Access to build a database of
hardware components, pricing, manufacturing lins, pictures, etc. that the
infopath form can pull from.

Also, is there any good training material out there that someone can point
me to that will help me get started?

It is possible. The complexity depends on your design.
