cannot apply filter to view

Hello
I want to apply a filter to my view so that I only see the resources-
material. However, the "apply" button is dimmed and I cannot do that. why is
that?

Hello Iyla,

The "Resources - Material" filter is a Resource filter and can only be
applied in a resource view (Resource Sheet, Resource Usage, etc.). If
you are trying to apply the filter in a Task view (Gantt Chart, Calendar
view, etc.) the Apply button is not available. If you look at the top
of the More Filters dialog box (where you are seeing the Apply button),
you'll see the selection for Task or Resource filter.
