Cannot backup or copy outlook 2000 pst file, but can open it.

I have an outlook 2000 file. If I try to backup with backrex, copy it or use
the inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) it reboots the computer.

How can I repair this and get a backup.

Have you made sure that Outlook is closed before you try any of these
actions?

Boot your PC in Safe Mode and then copy it.

I had tried that but didn't try safe mode. I was able to export the file to a
new pst file and then create a new instance of the data
