cannot display characters

well i shifted some of my word documents from another computer and iam not
sure which microsoft office version it had....now currently in my computer i
have microsoft office professional 2003 and when ever i tried to open the
document that i shifted it said that it needs a "import converter" first i
didnt know what to do and than i searched and found out this "office
converter pack"...but now when i open it just displays boxes in the whole
document..i tried re-installing both office and the converter but no use..
pleaz could u help

Are you getting errors? Is the "Office Converter Pack" you downloaded linked in the
below article? With it you should be able to convert just about any text or graphics
file. Might read this article thoroughly.
