Dear All.
When trying to use Clipart Gallery in Publisher 2000, I keep getting the
following error when try to load the photographs from the Gallery:-

"Publisher cannot find the necessary converter or filter"

This only occurs in publisher, not word.

I have tried the following:-
1. Detect and repair
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling
3, using the Microsoft office clean uninstall tool

I have also uninstalled office 2000 as well as publisher, and done a
reinstall of both, but still get this error message.
Can any suggest how to solve this problem please?

Dear Mary
Thank you for your response.
I have tried everything in the troubleshooting page from Microsoft you
kindly pointed me to and also installed again the jpegim32.flt as you
suggested.

However the problem remains, but I can import the clipart (Pictures) in MS
Word and PowerPoint but not in Publisher.

Any further suggestions most welcome.
Yours
Barry

How to Troubleshoot Problems with Clip Gallery in Office 2000 and Office 97

The graphics filters are in a folder similar to this.
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt

It is possible your .jpg filter has become corrupted. Office doesn't always
overwrite all files. Rename jpegim32.flt to jpegim32.old, drag a new
instance of
the file from your setup disk.

Do you have a viewer associated with .jpg files?
Right-click any .jpg file, properties, opens with. Select the Windows Picture
and Fax viewer if you can. If you cannot do this
run, type
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
There is a space between the 2 and s.
