Cannot format numbers in column

I have received a large file that I have to analyze

One of the columns has the values that I need to convert to numbe
format, however it seems that the values have a space before them an
therefore I cannot format it as a number or put a dollar value to it.

I have attached the column as I got it.

Hi

You could do a find and replace on the column. Find " " and replace with ""
It might be that they are actually number and they have been exported as
text. If this is the case, copy a blank, unused cell. Then select your range
and Edit / Paste Special / Add / OK
