Cannot install Business Conatact Manager

I get an error that says it cannot configure the server
and the install stops. I am assuming it means SQL server
but what would that have to do with a stand alone
install? I installed it on my laptop just fine but it
does this weird failure on my desktop. Both systems are
fresh installs of Win XP PRo with all service packs and
updates installed. Any help out there?
