Cannot install Office XP

I have tried to install Office XP in Vista. Only Excel works. Access, and
Word do not. They hang the computer. I have not tried Powerpoint, etc.

When trying to repair or re-install, the system asks me for a second CD.
But there is no second CD.

Any help would be appreciated. I am at a loss as to what to try next.
