Cannot open Outlook.pst

Yesterday I did an office update, installed those
updates..today I had to reinstall office, and now I cannot
open the outlook.pst folder with the all the information
(email, contacts, calendar, etc.)
And this just so happens to be our Mayors computer...any
help would greatly be appreciated. I've ran the
scanpst.exe with no luck...

HELP

find system tools under accesories, then system restore
then click on the date you want to restore, before updates
