Cannot Receive Email

I attempted to upgrade to Office 2003 this evening.
Afterward, sending and receiving email failed. When I
restored my XP OS to before the installation, I was able
to send email, but when I clicked Send/Receive, I got
an 'Operation Failed' error message.

I deleted and added my email account back. I have no
trouble accessing web pages. I have a cable modem
connection.

Can someone advise? Thanks!

Update: I reinstalled Office 2003. I am able to send
and receive emails from Outlook Express. So, I imported
my account info from OL Xpress into Outlook 2003, but am
unable able to receive or receive into the latter. ????

Have you found a solution yet? THis is also my problem
and it sounds like the problem of a few other people.

I can also use OE, but not Outlook 2003 and it does not
work to transfer in the settings from OE to Outlook.
