Cannot send attachments in Outlook

L

Lwerner

I am using Outlook 2000 SR-1. Last week I was able to send messages with attachments and now this week I cannot. This week when I go to attach a file (any of the ways in outlook) all that it does is put a picture of the icon in the body of my email...when the recipient gets the email they tell me that nothing is attached. Please help!

You've probably switched your mail format to Rich Text and the recipient
isn't using Outlook. Rich Text format is proprietary to Outlook, so other
e-mail programs can't read it; and Rich Text format messages put the
attachment icon in the body of the message rather than in a separate area.
Switch to HTML or Plain Text format and both problems should go away.
