Cannot send emails?

Doug

Ok, I just went away on a business trip and I brought my laptop with me. I
run a p4 with a 512 meg ram, XP pro, and Outlook 2003 (Office 2003) I have
all updates done including SP2.

As I connected to the net at the hotel, through High speed conn. I was
having problems with my replies and new mail messages not going out. It
would send a couple once inn a while, then hang. They go into the outbox and
sit there. I try to restart Outlook and the same thing happens. I assumed it
was a hotel line issue as i had never had that problem before. Fast forward
to today.....

Same thing????? Other than SP2 which had been done the day it came out
(with no issues since then until the trip)

Any help? PLEASE!

Thanks doug douggeri @ hotmail

Also, When I go into the email accounts under tools to change the xisting
account, everything looks ok, but when I do a test message, it says it
cannot find my outgoing SMTP server. So the test message fails. WEIRD!!! I
just sent bunch of messages this AM Didn't change anything between then and
now.

Do you use a VPN connection to connect to your email
server?

No, direct through a router to DSL. BUT. I called Verizon to check on it,
and he said they may be having server problems.
