Cannot send Hotmail using Outlook

I have Windows XP, and on the past I have used both
Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express 6 with my Hotmail
account. All of a sudden I am unable to send email with
either program, but I can receive it no problem. I've
tried everything! It just sits in my outbox, and it
never gets sent. Please help!
