Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I was having difficulty with Entorage accessing the shared libries and reinstalled Office from my Student and Teacher version. I get the following message:
"You cannot install Office 2008 SP1 Update (12.1.0) on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume"

I have tried this twice now with the same result; can someone please advise me what to do?

Start here and see if any of this information helps:

If you are doing a re-install the new updater might be seeing the old
receipts and not letting you run the updater again. Try removing receipts.
