Can't delete emails from Outlook Express XP

[Cannot Delete emails]

I am getting a message that a store file may be damaged and am unable to delete any of my emails or empty my deleted folder. It tells me to use scandisk or another utility. I have NO CLUE can anyone help?

Until such time as you are able to sort out the problem of automatically deleting emails in the deleted folder, try selecting all the files within the folder i.e. click on the first email in the deleted list, then Ctrl A then SHIFT key plus delete key.
