can't open a web file

[Novice in SD]

I am trying to open a file from a web site. I save it to my computer and
when I try to open it all I get is a small postage stamp on my screen. I get
this from several sites that I need to get infor from. Help Please as I am
an extreme novice...thank you. Buck

Could you give us a specific URL? And by the way, this really isn't the
