I have Publisher 98 (it came with Office 97 SBE).
I just upgraded the operating system from Win98
to Win2k. After reinstalling Publisher, I am
unable to open any of my documents created under
Win98. I get a dialog "Publisher cannot open files
from a different version". Interestingly, in the
Open File dialog, when I select a document the
Preview control shows a minature version of my
document correctly, so clearly it can access the
info in the document to some degree.
I do not have Norton Anti-Virus installed (as some
previous posts seem to implicate for this problem).
It is a fresh Win2k install with all updates applied.
The only other apps installed are ZoneAlarm and
Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Any ideas?
