Can't Open Files or Load Access on New PC

Hi, I have Windows XP Home but it came already loaded on the new pc.
Haven't even had the pc for quite one month yet so haven't installed any
operating system updates. I did take a look at the Add/Remove Programs but
saw nothing associated with Windows. Thanks.

Garfield, Since I haven't installed any Windows updates, I assume that this
must not be the problem.

So...is there just some way to delete the files/folders that are
inaccessible? A normal delete won't work but is there some other roundabout
way to get rid of these files? I really don't want a big chunk of
inaccessible hard drive. Thanks. barbaraeh
