Can't open items.

I upgraded from Office 2000 to 2003 at work. When i'm in outlook very little seems to function. I cannot open any e-mail, send e-mail or open a calender event with out the following message popping up: "Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again." The only thing that seems to work are tasks. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and adding the service pack for 2003 to no avail.

Servicepack for Outlook 2003???

Anyway, try recreating (do not copy) your mailprofile in Control Panel->
Mail-> button Show Profiles-> button Add
