The affected computer was recently restored after a stupid user episode. All Office files reside on the harddrive, but are not listed as installed anywhere in the computer. Attempts to use them request you re run setup. Attempts to use the install disks to run setup results in "Can't access this patch-verify available or contact vendor" error. Can't uninstall original installation, as it is not listed in the control panel programs list. Also received one error "Office not installed for this user" on computer
Computer was a multiuser computer, but had been reset to a single user. Tried running office update, but it says no updates are needed, so everything is probably there, just not installed. Any ideas how to get the info back into the registry?
