Can't Reload Office 2000

B

Bob I

I'm trying to reload office 2000 on a brand new computer, but I get a message
asking for my XP Professional, Service Pack 2 disk.

I have two problems. First, I'm not running XP Professional; I'm running
the home version. Second, the operating system came pre installed and there
are no disks available.

Should I dig up an XP Professional SP2 disk anyhow? Can I download it from
Microsoft?

Bob I

No, It says "...Windows XP Service Pack 2...". I don't have Office XP. I
suspect there is a bit of a conflict between Office 2000 and XP SP2.

You should have clarified that bit of information in your first post. As it
read, it sounded like it was asking for the Office XP Professional SP-2
disk. Never presume that others can read your mind.

Do you have WIndows XP SP-2 installed? Do you have any Office XP products
installed (standalone products such as Publisher or FrontPage?)
