Greg

Running Outlook 2003 on Windows 2000. I open Outlook
check mail, then close it. I try to reopen Outlook will
not open up. If you look in task manager you will see
mutiple copies of OUTLOOK.EXE in processes tab. The is a
big problem.....

get knockout, http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout, so you don't
need task manager - you can see if it's running and close it from knockout.

What applications and addins are you using that access outlook data?

The permanent fix is to determine what is causing it and removing the cause,
knockout just makes it easier to deal while you try to identify the cause. A
list of known causes is at the url I included. The list may not be inclusive
so you need to consider the apps you have installed and if any use Outlook
data.
