Can't save an email message or copy to another folder

When I open a new email message (File>Open>New Mail Message)

And then try to save it (File>Save)

I get an error message box that says



"Microsoft Outlook

The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook"



Restarting Outlook does not help.



If I try to move a file from one folder to another I get the same message.



I completely uninstalled Microsoft Office XP and then reinstalled.

The problem was not fixed.



I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2002 with Windows XP Professional



Can anyone offer any help?
