Can't send a message using group contact.

Dee Dee

I have 2 PCs with the same outlook. The first one recognized the group and
the other one doesn't. I re-created the group on the new one, but whenever I
send a email using the group it doesn't recognize it. "Microsoft office does
not recognize 'New Group' "

I resolved this on my own.
Tools --> email accounts --> Add a new directory or address book -->
Additional Address books --> Select Personal address book.

Just to clarify what I stated. I have 2 PCs with 2 separate MS office
versions loaded, but I use the same email server.

The Personal Address Book is long obsolete and you should not be using it.
Keep your contacts and distribution lists in the Contacts folder.

They were in the contact folder, yet they were not recognized until I turned
on the Select Personal Address book. I'm using the latest version of
Outlook, so I'm not sure where you're coming from.
Thanks, Dee Dee

Did you have the Outlook Address Book service installed in the profile?

Hi Brian,

I don't think so. Maybe that's why I had to turn it on. Thanks for the help.

Instead of using the Personal Address Book, install the Outlook Address Book
service in your mail profile and use your Contacts folder.
