Can't send email - error 0x800CCC69

I am using Outlook 2000. I can receive email and reply to email.
When I try to send a new email I get the following error: 0x800CCC69
SMTP_550_MAILBOX_NOT_FOUND. Any ideas what the problem is? There is
nothing on Microsofts Knowledge Base. I am using the TO field and
authenticating my server. I am using the same settings for outgoing
mail as incoming. I have a POP3 account. Thanks for any help you can
give
