Can't set dictionary for correct region in Word 2003

In XP I've set my region to Australia. In Office 2003 I've also set the
dictionary to be English Australian but every time I do a spell check in WORD
it uses the US dictionary. All the other Office apps use the right version
but Word (ironic?).
Suggestions?
