cells involved with formulas

Is there a way to find out if a cell is being used in a
formula in a different cell?

I have a workbook that has thousands of cells and I'd like
to know if a specific cell is being used in a formula or
not, and if it is, what cell that formula is located in.

AFAIK not possible (at least not wittout cycling through all sheets).

Actually, I found something that seems to be working ok,
but I'm not sure if I am using it in the right context.

After I select a cell I go to EDIT, GO TO, click on
SPECIAL, choose DEPENDENTS and click OK. On the simple
formulas that I have tested this with it has found the
correct formula each time. I'm not sure if it works with
more complex formulas.
